On September 14, Las Vegas was graced with boxing and UFC fans, with the Sphere hosting UFC 306 and the T-Mobile Arena hosting Canelo vs. Edgar Berlanga. Whats Next for Canelo Álvarez?
While at UFC 306, “Bud” spoke on his Instagram account with His Excellency. On the video, the Omaha native asked Alalshikh: “Tell them we going for Canelo Next”
Alalshikh responded with vigour: “Yes, let’s go. Canelo come on. We are ready.”

The video then went back to just Crawford, who said: “Just put in the game coach, just put me in the game.”

“I have legendary fights, Cotto, Golovkin. They bring me something to the table. They bring me legacy to the table. I’m talking about that. I know you guys (media) always want to put if I beat (David) Benavidez, you (will) want to put other fighter there, but like I say, if the money is right in that special fight, I’m in.”
He continued: “He don’t bring me legacy. He don’t bring me anything. If the money is right I’m in.”
Canelo vs. Crawford?
Eddie Hearn recently spoke to Fight Hub TV about what he thinks Crawford will do next, and he said: We won’t get the rematch (Madrimov). I don’t think Terence Crawford will ever fight again unless he gets Canelo. I don’t think Crawford will fight again.”

Seeing Crawford and hearing him talk about the Canelo fight will have fans wondering if the contest with Álvarez could happen. The Mexican superstar seemed uninterested in discussing anything in the build-up to the Berlanga fight, but now that’s over, could we see negotiations begin?
“Bud” has made it clear he is more than prepared to move up from 154 to 168 lbs, and Canelo has made it clear if the money is right, he will fight anyone.
