Ryan Garcia sends explosive warning to Conor Benn
Ryan Garcia vs Conor Benn is a fight that has been rumoured for much of 2026, with both fighters victorious in their most recent bouts. Garcia captured the WBC welterweight title last time out, while Benn defeated Regis Prograis on the Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov card. A potential roadblock to making Ryan Garcia vs Conor Benn is the clear dislike between Dana White and Oscar De La Hoya. It’s clear there is no love lost between the two, but can they put their differences aside to make this huge fight? Ryan Garcia has appeared on social media, delivering a knockout promise to the Brit.
Ryan Garcia announces Conor Benn September 12 fight
Ryan Garcia (25-2, 20 KOs) recently appeared on the Jimmy Fallon show, revealing he will be fighting on September 12 against Conor Benn (25-1, 14 KOs):
“We are fighting on September 12. It’ll be in Vegas, and the opponent, let’s just say, he’s from the other side.
“He’s across the pond, I’m sorry,” added Garcia.
“His name is Conor Benn. He’s talking a lot. He’s talking crazy. He actually confronted me at an awards show, and my wife was there, and he just pressed up on me, grabbed me, so it’s a little personal. I’m really gonna put a whooping on this man, and we will send him back to the UK, sipping on some tea,” said the 27-year-old Victorville native.
Garcia appears confident his fight with Benn will happen. The buildup should be entertaining, and fight night should be full of drama.
Garcia issues knockout warning to Benn
Setting the scene for his potential fight with Benn, and issuing a warning to the Brit, Garcia said:
“September 12, you know who we’re fighting. We’re fighting Conor Benn. We’re gonna put the work on him. The UK vs the US. UK, US, colliding, fighting, he’s out of there. We’re gonna make sure he never tries us again. We’re gonna really put a number on him, pretty bad. But it should be fun while it lasts.”
“Conor getting knocked out for sure,” added Garcia.
