Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua: Turki Al-Sheikh and UFC President Dana White attend a super welterweight bout on the undercard of the Canelo v Crawford event at Allegiant Stadium on September 13, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

On July 25, at the Jeddah Super Dome in Saudi Arabia, Anthony Joshua makes his return to professional boxing against Kristian Prenga (20-1, 20 KOs). Tyson Fury is also expected to have a warm-up fight, with August 1 rumoured to be the date for The Gypsy King. Should both win, Joshua vs Fury is set to take place later this year. John Fury, father of Tyson, has spoken in a media huddle, stating Dana White will take over the sport and should be given the opportunity to promote Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua.

Recently, there has been a swell of talk that Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua could land in the U.S. Eddie Hearn recently spoke to BoxingScene, clarifying rumours over the venue for the likely bout:

“There has been some murmuring of the fight taking place in the US,” Hearn told BoxingScene.

“The contract specifically states that the fight must take place in the UK.

“Right now, there is no official confirmation.”

Hearn has stated in several interviews that a new contract would need to be drawn up should the fight end up in the U.S.

John Fury names who should promote Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua

When asked about Dana White’s entry into boxing, Fury said:

“I think he’s doing really well, I do. He’s a new kid on the block. He’s bringing different things to the game. I think it’s a takeover. I think he’s gonna put the rest of them out of business. They’ve all had their day in the sun. Let the man through.

John Fury was then asked if White would be the perfect promoter for Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua:

“I do. The man knows his job. At the end of the day, he’s a new kid on the block, and new people, people are interested in. People get bored with people. Soon they’ll be bored with all of us, so what you do is make room for other people coming through. Step aside and let them do their job. I think Dana White’s fabulous. Give him a chance.”
