Edwards was last seen comfortably defeating Adrian Curiel via a ninth-round technical decision, following a nasty cut sustained by the Croydon fighter. Yafai has been fast-tracked through the professional ranks with wins against Tommy Frank, Rocco Santomauro and Gohan Rodriguez Garcia.
