Dan Rafael Dismisses Likelihood of Intriguing Lightweight Unification Fight Rumoured for November
Rumours surfaced earlier today that Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson are set to clash on November 23 in Las Vegas. These rumours had boxing fans dreaming of these two lightweight pugilists colliding in a unification bout. However, Dan Rafael has clarified these rumours via sources who would be involved in any such deal.

Intriguing Lightweight Unification Rumours Denied
On the back of the Davis-Stevenson rumours, Rafael has revealed via his X account: “I’m told by two people who would be involved that this is not true.” A further post from Rafael revealed that he had asked a third source who would be directly involved if the rumours were true and the response from the source was “not at all.”

The potential of a Stevenson-Davis title fight is a fascinating prospect and it would be an intriguing clash of styles. Stevenson spoke to Rafael in the build-up to his win over Artem Harutyunyan about becoming a promotional free agent and revealed what he is looking for in his next deal: “I think big fights is mainly the thing that I’m looking for.
