Tony Bellew Says His Heavyweight Resume Is Better Than Deontay Wilder’s
When asked about Deontay Wilder being the hardest puncher in boxing, Bellew countered with his own question: “Look at the names on his record. Who has Wilder knocked out?”
He went on to say: “The best win on his record is Luis Ortiz. I’ve had two fights at heavyweight against the same man andmy actual heavyweight resume is better than Deontay Wilder’s. I’ve knocked out the former heavyweight champion of the world and unified cruiserweight champion of the world twice [David Haye]. It’s insane to think that Deontay Wilders has knocked out absolutely…Luis Ortiz is probably old enough to be my father.”

Bellew continued: “He’s (Wilder’s) been here forever and that is his greatest KO victory. Every time he’s stepped up, he’sbeen beat up. He got beat up off Joseph Parker beat up off Zhilei Zhang and he got beat up off Tyson Fury. I’m not going to kick a man while he’s down, that’s not my style, but Deontay Wilder is not an all-time great. Deontay Wilder is not a world-class fighter. Deontay Wilder is a world-class puncher, and that’s where it stops.”
