Katie Taylor Becomes Undisputed Super Lightweight Champion
Chantelle Cameron spoiled Katie Taylor’s homecoming in May this year when she defeated the Irish legend via majority decision. Taylor started the rematch well, but Cameron came on strong towards the end of the opening round. The Irish fighter won the next few rounds, boxing great inside and on the back foot, landing eye-catching combinations and showcasing her speed.
As we reached the middle rounds, “Il Capo” kept coming forward, landing heavy shots and showcasing her brilliant jab. The judge’s scorecards read 95-95, 98-92 and 96-94 for Taylor, with “KT” gaining redemption on a historic night in Dublin as she became a two weight undisputed champion.
