On Saturday, March 2, Jake Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) defeated Ryan Bourland (17-3, 6 KOs) in the co-main event alongside Amanda Serrano (46-2-1, 30 KOs) vs. Nina Meinke (18-3, 4 KOs) at Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot in Suan Juan, Puerto Rico. The card was broadcast on DAZN in over 200 countries across the globe. “The Problem Child” has proven in his professional career he can attract big numbers on PPV, as seen in his bout against Nate Diaz. In his short professional journey, Paul has been involved in some big fights and emphatically defeated Andre August by first-round KO in his last fight.

The fight against Bourland began with “The Problem Child” gaining the middle of the ring and firing off his jab impressively, mixing his shots between the head and body. Paul rocked Bourland and then smelt blood before he took him apart with a good mix of shots, which sent the Dickinson native crashing to the canvas – prompting the referee to wave the fight off.

Paul vs. Bourland Undercard

Jonathan Gonzalez (28-3-1, 14 KOs) came through a tough test to defeat Rene Santiago (12-4, 9 KOs) by unanimous decision to retain his WBO world light flyweight title. The judge’s scorecards read 116-112 – 115-113 – 117-111, all in favour of Gonzalez.

After the fight, the champion said: “I think I won. It was a close fight.”

Javon Walton (1-0-1, 1 KO) and Joshua Torres fought out a majority draw (0-1-2, O KOs) in their featherweight clash, with the judges scorecards reading 39-37 for Walton and 38-38 x2. 

When asked about the fight, Walton said: “My opponent gave me a good first fight.” He continued: “I have a long path ahead of me.”

Krystal Rosado (3-0, 1 KO) kept her 100% professional record intact as she beat Gloria Munguilla (5-1, 0 KOs) by majority decision in their Women’s super flyweight bout, with the judges scorecards reading 38-38 and 40-36 x2 for Rosado.

When asked about the 38-38 scorecard, Rosado said: “It was a little surprising, but it wasn’t an easy fight.”
