Jake Paul Next Fight

“The Problem Child” has enjoyed an eventful journey in professional boxing, which has seen him lose to Tommy Fury but emphatically beat Andre August. Paul has also proven against the right opposition – he can contribute to impressive PPV numbers, as seen against Nate Diaz. He seemed to be going down the route of fighting celebrity boxers – and retired MMA fighters.

It now appears he is trying to grow his reputation by facing experienced fighters. Paul recently offered a prediction for the upcoming fight on his X account, where he said: “In 3 days I fight for the Paul family, for Jutta, for my amazing team, my purpose, and to further change the sport of boxing. Boxing, I owe you everything…including Ryan Bourland’s head top.”

“The Problem Child” will look to dominate his opponent from the first bell and show his good footwork and impressive counterpunching against an opponent who has been out of the ring for a considerable time.

Ryan Bourland

Bourland is very much an unknown quantity to many in the boxing world. He has lost twice in his career, with the first setback coming in July 2015 against Israel Duffus. His career seemed to end after winning twice in 2018 when he retired to work on oil rigs. He returned after four years away when he defeated Santario Martin by technical knockout.

His journey has been very much a stop-start one, but he will be aiming to shock the boxing world on March 2. The Dickinson native can punch and will be looking to land that KO blow. Bourland has plenty of experience despite his inactivity, which saw him become a Golden Gloves Champion and Junior Olympian.

Prediction for Paul vs. Bourland

The showdown between Paul and Bourland will seemingly be eventful, with Paul showcasing his punching power on many previous occasions. The Cleveland native will need to gain the middle of the ring as early as possible and let Bourland feel his power. He did a great job of bullying August and ending that fight early.

Bourland will need to weather the storm early on and make Paul feel his power while trying to control the tempo and not let Paul get in his groove. At Big Fight Weekend, we are going for a KO win for “The Problem Child” in rounds 4-6.
