Okolie Moving on From Loss
Both men have not had a professional bout in roughly a year. The last time Okolie fought was against Chris Billam-Smith in May of last year. Okolie, who was knocked down three times and had two points deducted, lost that bout via majority decision. He also lost his WBO cruiserweight title in the process. A year on from that loss, the former champion is looking to the future.

“To be a two-weight world champion,” said Okolie about his current ambitions to Sky Sports. “But I genuinely believe I’m close to becoming that, so I need to set myself new goals and new reasons to want to push myself in training.”
Różański Prepared for Longer Fight
Różański’s last appearance in the ring was in April last year against Alen Babić. The Polish fighter won via technical knockout in the opening round. He now faces his most accomplished opponent to date. Różański who has won 14 of his 15 bouts by stoppage, is prepared for a fight that goes the distance.

“We’ll see everything on Friday, I’m setting myself up for a longer fight,” he said in Polish at an open workout. “Of course, I’m prepared for the full distance, and how it comes out, we’ll see. If I get the opportunity, I will definitely go for the knockout.”
Fight Prediction
Okolie’s style is effective, even if it can be frustrating to watch at times. As an amateur and professional, he has also fought the better quality opponents between the two. Różański has power, but it is hard to see him getting past someone who fights like Okolie, who also appears incredibly motivated going into this bout. Expect the Englishman to box his way to a wide unanimous decision.
