The bouts were full of action, and the highly anticipated main event did not disappoint as Anthony Joshua brutally stopped Francis Ngannou in the second round. Following the devastating KO, Derek Chisora spoke to IFLTV and expressed what he thinks Ngannou should do next.

Chisora Reflects on Francis Ngannou vs. Anthony Joshua

Many believed Ngannou would cause Joshua problems after his narrow defeat against Tyson Fury, but AJ was back to his brutal best in dispatching the Cameroonian heavyweight. When asked by IFLTV to reflect on Joshua’s win, Chisora said:´“Amazing, amazing.”

He was then asked what he thinks AJ will do next, and without hesitation, he said: (Filip) “Hrgović.”

Chisora Tells Ngannou What Should be His Next Step

It seems unclear if Ngannou will pursue a future in boxing. Chisora was asked what he thinks the ex-UFC heavyweight champion should do next: “Go back to the UFC,” he said said. The Brit added: “It was a gimmick, that’s it. We’ve found out who he is, he’s done.”

It was revealed before the “Knockout Chaos” event that Ngannou would be returning to the cage for PFL against Renan Ferreira, who defeated Ryan Bader. The return to MMA shows what a phenomenal and adaptable athlete “The Predator” is, and will be his first MMA bout since his win against Ciryl Gane at UFC 270 in January 2022.
