Matchroom Boxing continue to be near the forefront of the sport, with elite fighters such as Jaron Ennis and Jesse Rodriguez fighting at the top table in their respective divisions. Eddie Hearn has always shown a strong desire to sign the best amateur boxers when they turn professional, and Matchroom have now announced the signing of talented amateur Divine Omojor, who will fight in the cruiserweight division.

Matchroom Boxing in 2026

Matchroom Boxing with Eddie Hearn will always be at the forefront of criticism because of Eddie’s outspoken attitude. However, he continues to possess one of the best stables in the sport. Alongside Ennis and Bam, Hearn has a plethora of talented fighters, including former and current world champions such as Anthony Joshua, who is due back in the ring on July 25 against Kristian Prenga.

Other fighters on Matchroom include Katie Taylor, Lewis Crocker, Dmitry Bivol, and Dalton Smith, among many others. Younger fighters have also joined Eddie Hearn in recent times, with Connor Mitchell and Taylor Bevan to name just two.

Divine Omojor

Omojor is a real talent and will compete in the cruiserweight division. The 19-year-old controls the distance impressively during his fights, and this attribute will be vital for him in the professional code. His ability to pick his opponent apart from range should help him move through the ranks quickly.

He won plenty of honours in the amateur code, winning national titles and the prestigious Haringey Box Cup. His experience, mixing with the best amateurs, will stand him in good stead when switching to the pro ranks.

His footwork is another strong attribute, and one he will look to utilise from a defensive and offensive standpoint. He clearly carries power, and if he can transfer this into the paid ranks, Omojor could be one to watch.
