Vasiliy Lomachenko vs. George Kambosos Jr. Turns Into Intriguing Tripleheader

On Sunday, May 12, Vasiliy Lomachenko will take on George Kambosos Jr. at RAC Arena in Perth & LIVE on ESPN. In preparation for that fight, we have already seen a virtual press conference. Top Rank has now added two more bouts, including Andrew Moloney, to make this fight Down Under an intriguing tripleheader.

Andrew Moloney vs. Carlos Cuadras and Nina Hughes vs. Cherneka Johnson Added

Andrew Moloney Added to Top Rank Event

Andrew Moloney (26-3, 16 KOs)-Carlos Cuadras (42-5-1, 28 KOs) & Nina Hughes (6-0, 2 KOs)-Cherneka Johnson (15-2, 6 KOs) have been added to the Lomachenko vs. Kambosos bill, which will be broadcast in prime time in the United States on Saturday, May 11 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+. Cuadras will defend his WBC Interim junior bantamweight world title against experienced former world champion Moloney. The third fight of the tripleheader will see the WBA champion Hughes defend her strap against Australian challenger Johnson.

Moloney vs. Cuadras

Sinaloa native Cuadras has spoken on the upcoming fight: “I look forward to the challenge of fighting Andrew Moloney in Australia, and I am coming to prove I am still a force at 115 pounds,” Cuadras said. “There are many great champions in my division, but I can’t overlook Moloney, a hungry fighter who will be encouraged by the Australian fans.”

Moloney could not hide his excitement at the fight: “I’m absolutely pumped to have this fight locked in. Hughes vs. Johnson
