Tyson Fury sends brutal warning to Anthony Joshua: ‘When I catch him, it’s going to be curtains’
After 10 years of back-and-forth and arguments over who’s the promoter and who is not, Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua finally felt real on September 30, when both finally met on stage at the launch press conference for the WBA ‘super’ heavyweight title clash at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. At the launch presser, Fury wasted no time in delivering a warning to AJ.

Fury (36-2-1, 25 KOs) has fought twice this year, defeating Arslanbek Makhmudov and stopping Mariusz Wach. Before that, “The Gypsy King” lost back-to-back bouts vs Oleksandr Usyk. His best career wins came against Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder in their second clash.
Joshua (30-4, 27 KOs) won four consecutive fights before being blown away by Daniel Dubois. After that, Joshua has won twice, including a dramatic second-round knockout win over Kristian Prenga.

Looking ahead to December 11, it’s as much about who has the most left as anything else. Neither is at their best, and that is undeniable. Fury looked a step slower against Wach, but he also did against Francis Ngannou, before improving to push Usyk all the way in their two fights.
Joshua looked finished against Prenga and ready to be knocked out, but he proved his power still remains, and the finish was vintage AJ. It almost feels that whoever lands first will be the winner!
After what can only be described as a “War and Peace” monologue from Max Kellerman, Fury didn’t waste any time in revealing his thoughts about December 11:
“I’m gonna come out and I’m gonna blast him out of there… I’m not gonna run away, I’m not gonna box… when I catch him, it’s going to be curtains.”
