Paddy Donovan

Paddy Donovan (12-0, 9 KOs) is a fast-rising welterweight – who was last seen in the ring when he impressively defeated Danny Ball by 4th round TKO at the 3Arena in Dublin. The Irish Southpaw is an entertaining watch with great movement and plenty of power. He picks his punches well and throws every shot with intent. Donovan punches brilliantly from various angles, and 2024 looks to be a huge year for the Limerick resident.

Gabriel Maestre

Gabriel Maestre (6-0-1, 5 KOs) was involved in a highly controversial contest against Mykal Fox – where he was awarded a unanimous decision victory despite seemingly being outboxed throughout the fight. Maestre, at 37 years old, is being moved quickly through the ranks. He’s shown he possesses plenty of power and impressive lateral movement. The Venezuelan fighter is adept at avoiding counterpunches – and picks his own shots well. Away from the controversy, he showed his undoubted ability with his two-round destruction of Travon Marshall.

Brian Norman Jr

Brian Norman Jr (25-0, 19 KOs) has enjoyed a perfect start to his professional career. Norman has showcased his heavy but fast hands, which has seen him score impressive wins throughout his amateur career and against Quinton Randall in his last fight. After turning professional at 17, he has already amassed 25 wins. “The Assassin II” has shown he is above everyone he has faced. In 2024, we must see a step up in class for this welterweight.

Shakhram Giyasov

Shakhram Giyasov (14-0, 9 KOs) was last seen in the ring when he defeated Harold Calderon. Giyasov is a talented fighter with plenty of power, speed and ring IQ, making him a force to be reckoned with in the welterweight division. His impressive hand speed allows him to dominate opponents before utilising his power to finish them off. His exceptional footwork allows him to punch from varying angles and effectively avoid shots from his opponents.

Natasha Jonas

Natasha Jonas (14-2-1, 9 KOs) enjoyed a decorated amateur career and has mixed at the top table in the professional ranks. She narrowly lost to Katie Taylor and drew with Terri Harper. She was last seen in the ring when she dominated Kandi Wyatt, stopping her in round eight. Next up for the Liverpudlian fighter is Mikaela Mayer for the IBF welterweight title. Jonas will need to control the distance well and utilise her impressive footwork to attack Mayer at the right times. A win over Mayer would undoubtedly give Jonas the respect she deserves.
