Jake Paul-Tank Davis Off- Paul Searching For Opponent
On Monday night what had been rumored all weekend regarding the cancellation of the Jake Paul-Gervonta “Tank” Davis fight became reality, when MVP Promotions pulled the plug on that bout. However, that doesn’t mean that Jake Paul won’t be meeting someone and perhaps, as soon as December.

The postponement became inevitable
This move became a near formality, when Davis had another domestic violence accusation against him come to light last week. The accuser, who has been dating Davis, filed a lawsuit in South Florida alleging that Davis came to the gentlemen’s club where she worked as a cocktail server and assaulted her. This came on the heels of another incident this past summer, where Davis was arrested in South Floria for an assault accusation on a different girlfriend. Ultimately, that case did not move forward due to the accuser refusing to cooperate.
So, now, what will Paul do for an opponent? There was speculation that Ryan Garcia could be an option, but that was quickly dismissed by his promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, of Golden Boy Promotions. It looks like Garcia will fight WBC welterweight champ Mario Barrios in the first part of next year instead.
Opponent Choices for Paul?
Would Paul fight a cruiserweight contending fighter or go back to an MMA fighter like the likes of Mike Perry, Nate Diaz or Anderson Silva, whom he’s fought in the last 2-3 years?
The date of December 20th seems to be the most logical to regroup with another opponent and possibly, an entire different location/arena, but as the statement says, nothing is certain at this time.
