Martin Bakole Identifies Heavyweight Hit List Following Jared Anderson Demolition
On Saturday, August 3 on the undercard of Terence Crawford vs. Israil Madrimov at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, CA, we saw Martin Bakole (21-1, 16 KOs) defeat Jared Anderson by fifth-round knockout. The Congo-born fighter floored Anderson late in the first round and looked dangerous throughout everytime he landed. During the fifth round, Anderson was knocked down a further two times before referee Jerry Cantu stepped in to wave the fight off. Following this impressive KO performance, Bakole has revealed his heavyweight hitlist.

Bakole Reveals Heavyweight Hitlist
Bakole’s win on August 3 has seemingly opened the door for some bigger fights in the future. The win over “The Real Big Baby” was the biggest of his career, and showed his devastating power, that will help him earn further opportunities.
The win has ensured the Congolese boxer is now a legimate world title contender, who will be difficult to avoid now he has announced himself on a Riyadh season card. Bakole can take a shot and he has devastating power on the level of Zhilei Zhang, which will cause a worry to any heavyweight in the world.

In an interview with BoxNation, Bakole spoke about potential opponents, including a potential clash with the big-punching Chinese heavyweight Zhang. In the interview, the Billy Graham trained fighter said: “I think so (Zhilei Zhang)would be a good opponent], I think that is where I belong. I understand [Jared Anderson] saying yes to fighting me, he is young and he believes in himself but in my opinion, this was too early for him because I am not at this level. I deserve to be in with”
He continued: [Oleksandr] Usyk, Tyson [Fury], Joe Joyce, Zhang, Agit Kabayel, Joseph Parker – this is where I belong.”
Bakole Targets Big Fish
It remains to be seen who will be next to fight the heavy-handed Congolese fighter, but Bakole believes he will now get the opportunities: “I am so happy that His Excellency is behind me and my team, so I think that I will get a ‘big fish’ and the big name that I have always been looking for.”
