Keith Thurman Versus Everybody
Former welterweight champion Keith Thurman is looking at 2021 as a get-back year in the ring following his loss to Manny Pacquiao in 2019, hand surgery, and the current pandemic making 2020.
One of the ways he started was by firing shots yesterday on his Instagram account at everyone he could mention on whoever was bought up. Most notibly of course is Top Rank CEO Bob Arum.
That started the video and got everything rolling.
“F-ck Bob Arum,” Thurman blurted on the Instagram video before his massage meeting yesterday. “Why you talking s-it, Bob? Keep your goddamn mouth shut, Bob. You want a cheap ass fight? I’ll punch you in your s-it for free. How about that? That’s the only cheap ass s-it you’re gonna get outta me. I’ll give you a free lick, boy.
What prompted this? Thurman has been lobbying for a fight against Terence Crawford and not only was that shot down back in August. Crawford went on instead to stop Kell Brook in Novemeber and Thurman is still waiting on an opponemnt.
“Look, man, I’ma snap-on Bob real quick. Bob, you a piece of s-it, Thurman continued. “You one of the worst f—– promoters in the game. All of your great fighters left your ass. Oscar De La Hoya left your ass. Floyd Mayweather left your ass. Manny Pacquiao left your ass…Crawford, he about to leave your ass.
“Bob, you know what’s up. You know I never ask for anything. It ain’t my fault you can’t afford a great fight. You cheap as s-it. You can barely pay your own fighters good money. That ain’t my fault. You got ESPN backing you, you got Terence Crawford, one of the most talented fighters in the welterweight division, and you can’t get him paid. You can’t make him famous enough.

So safe to assume here that Thurman-Crawford will only happen in my dreams or whenevr this esports boxing club game comes out.
So who is next up for Thurman? Commentors on his instagram where trying to needle Thurman about that.
“Who’s next? Whoever writes the check,” Thurman said.
While we wait for Thurman’s next oppnent, one of the matchups he shurgged off was a rematch against Danny Garcia when someone mentioned his name in the comments. Thurman dropped this in response to Garcia in his last outing which was a loss to Errol Spence.
“It’s 2021, stop lying to yourself,” Thurman said. “Stop it, please…he barely threw any punches. He was in the pocket and he didn’t pull the trigger. He didn’t pull the trigger, he right there in the pocket. That boy, I don’t know if he got that dog in him no more, man. That Philly boy, I don’t know if he got that dog in him no more. He’s very cautious, very timid. He being a timid fighter now, hoping to land something. Stop it.
