The Cuban has moved up the ranks in impressive style, with his last four wins standing out: beating Sena Agbeko, Petro Ivanov, and Vladimir Shishkin, then stopping Pavel Silyagin to win the vacant IBF super middleweight title.

Zaren (19-0-1, 8 KOs) hasn’t mixed with Iglesias at the level thus far, with his best win coming against Ante Bilic. Last time out, he had won the first three rounds against Jose Luis Navarro Jr, before a freak storm caused the fight to be halted, with the bout declared a technical draw.

The Cuban is an aggressive front-foot fighter and has proven his outstanding ability to finish a fight. He doesn’t rush his work, but when he sees that opening, he takes full advantage. “El Tornado” is relentless, fighting off the front foot, throwing everything with intent. His amateur pedigree shines through when you see how he picks his punches and controls the distance.

Zaren is adaptable in the ring, but will seemingly look to keep this long and avoid letting Iglesias get too close. He will need to get his jab going and use that to stop Iglesias from closing the distance and setting his feet. He’s a methodical fighter and needs to stay organised and pick his moments against someone as dangerous as Iglesias.
