Undercard Revealed for Zepeda vs. Hughes Including Fighter With ‘Devastating Power in Both Hands’
On Saturday, March 16, William Zepeda (29-0, 25 KOs) will take on former IBO World Champion Maxi Hughes (26-6-2, 5 KOs) from The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The fight will be a 12-round IBF and WBA Lightweight World title Eliminator broadcast around the world on DAZN. As we edge closer to fight night, the undercard has been confirmed, and as reported by Dan Rafael on his Fight Freaks Unite Substack, will feature Floyd Schofield, described by Oscar De La Hoya as having “devastating power in both hands.“

Las Vegas resident Tristan Kalkreuth (12-1, 9 KOs) will fight Marquice Weston (15-2-1, 8 KOs) in an eight-round cruiserweight bout. The card will also see Marlen Esparza (14-1, 1 KO) defend the unified WBC/WBA/WBO women’s flyweight title against Gabriela Alaniz (14-1, 6 KOs) in an immediate rematch. The Houston fighter won the original contest in July by a majority decision to claim the WBO strap.
