‘It was horrible’: Dave Allen reflects on toughest fight of his career

Ahead of this heavyweight showdown, Allen has spoken on his personal TikTok channel, revealing which fight was the toughest of his career.
Dave Allen set to face Filip Hrgovic on May 16
Hrgovic (19-1, 14 KOs) has suffered one career loss to Daniel Dubois, and since then, he has defeated Joe Joyce and David Adeleye. The Croatian has looked brilliant at points during his career, but often dips during fights and looks vulnerable.
Allen (25-8-2, 20 KOs) has retired at least as many times as Tyson Fury. His professional career has more ups and downs than a fairground ride. He has shared the ring with many talented fighters, including Luis Ortiz and Dillian Whyte. “The White Rhino” has enjoyed memorable wins over Lucas Browne and Johnny Fisher.

Allen was asked on his TikTok what was the toughest round of his career, and Allen picked out a few rounds from one particular bout:
“Tony Yoka fight about halfway, 4, 5, 6, 7. I wanted to just sit down in the middle of the ring and cry; it was that hard. It was horrible,” said Allen.
