Following the cancellation of their originally scheduled 2022 fight, Benn announced via his X account that he had been cleared to fight again. Following that news, the UK Anti-Doping and British Board of Boxing Control decided not to appeal the decision to lift his suspension.

Rafael then revealed in a separate post: “Per source, no sign of Eubank yet for the morning weight check. His people are saying he’s still asleep. (Ummm, wake him up!).”
