Mexican unified super middleweight champion Canelo Álvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) will take on the unbeaten Puerto Rican, Edgar Berlanga (22-0, 17 KOs) for Álvarez’s WBC, WBA and WBO super middleweight titles. The card will be promoted by Canelo Promotions – in association with Matchroom Boxing at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. Danny Garcia will be appearing on the undercard against Erislandy Lara for the WBA world middleweight title. Garcia has offered some advice for Berlanga on what “The Chosen One” needs to do to defeat the unified champion.

Danny Garcia Offers Advice to Berlanga
Canelo returns to the ring to defend his super middleweight titles against Berlanga, who will aim to dethrone the unified champion live on DAZN. The Puerto Rican fighter returned to KO form in his last fight, stopping Padraig McCrory in the sixth round at the Caribe Royale Orlando.
The Mexican superstar comfortably outpointed Jaime Munguía on May 4 this year and will look for another dominant showing on September 14.
Danny Garcia is a former world champion aiming for middleweight glory against Erislandy Lara. Before the action commences on Saturday night, the Philadelphia fighter has shared his thoughts to World Boxing News on what Berlanga needs to do to pull off a shock victory: “He’s [Berlanga] strong and needs to try to be patient.”

He continued: “Jaime Munguia was too aggressive, and it went against him. Take your time. It’s easy to say until Canelo’s in front of you, but keep him at a distance like Bivol did, and try and control the fight as much as you can.”
