Brandon Adams Scored Dramatic KO In Ring City Main Event
A dramatic finish in the main event of the new “Ring City-USA” boxing series Thursday night in Puerto Rico, as former Junior Middleweight World title challenger Brandon “The Cannon”Adams came from behind to score a fantastic KO and close the show.
Trailing on all three scorecards to previously unbeaten Serhii Bohachuk the 31-year old Adams Unleashed a big left hook late in the 8th round that wobbled the Ukrainian-born Bohachuk. And, he eventually dropped him in a neutral corner with another right-left.
Bohachuk rose wobbly at the count of nine, but the fight was halted giving Adams the dramatic TKO win,

Adams is from Watts, California and won for the 9th time in his last 10 fights with the only defeat coming at the hands of Jermall Charlo on a 12 round decision in his challenge for the WBC Junior Middleweight World Championship in June of 2019.
Adams told NBC Sports Network post-fight,
“He was a tough guy,” said Adams. “He brought another side out of me that I knew was inside. I had to dig in deep tonight and use all the strength that I had to connect with one of those punches from the cannon.”
“It was real tough fighting in there tonight,” continued Adams. “The ring was wet; the ref was against me tonight. It was an uphill battle. I am an explosive fighter and I couldn’t take advantage of that because I didn’t have my legs under me because the ring was wet. But even though I was irritated, the show must go on. I am a pro.
I have to figure out how to get the W and that’s what I had to do. I am grateful for the win. I loved Puerto Rico, everyone out here embraced me with love.”
With the win Adams is now 23 – 4 and still looking to stay in the world title picture at 154 lb. Bohachuk, who originally is from Ukraine, but now trains out of Southern California, had won his first 18 professional fights by KO.
Adams’ dramatic win capped first televised show of the “Ring City USA” series in 2021. This as they held it at an outdoor venue attached to Felix Pagan Pintor’s Gym in the San Juans suburb of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico.
Ring City will be back with another fight card in two weeks on NBC Sports Network from the Puerto Rico same venue.
