Rising super middleweight prospect Angel Chavez (9-0, 7 KOs), from Salinas, CA, is impressing under the tutelage of renowned boxing coach Bob Santos in Las Vegas. The Merced native has spoken ahead of his next fight, and his coach has also sung the praises of the 22-year-old prospect. Chavez’s upcoming contest on April 5, 2024, will bring his most significant challenge yet as he prepares to take on Khainell Wheeler (7-4, 6 KOs) at the Wind Creek Events Center in Wheeler’s hometown, on an event promoted by King’s Promotions.
