Abdullah Mason vs Floyd Schofield is a fight that has been spoken about by many in the boxing world. These rumours resurfaced with Floyd Schofield Sr posting a video via his son’s Instagram account, revealing an offer had been made for his son to fight Mason.

Via his son’s IG account, Schofield Sr revealed they had received an offer for the fight, but also their asking price: “I just had to update y’all on something before it hit the news. Well, before it hit social media. We’ve been offered a fight with Abdullah Mason. Hell yeah, we accept that. $2.5 million, that’s the price. So, put the money on the wood, it all go good,” said Floyd Schofield Sr.

He added: “Yesterday’s price ain’t today’s price baby. Let’s get this money baby. Yes, we’re fight that brother. Put the money on the wood. He’s with Turki now, and all them. Let’s go. J Prince got money. Put that money up if y’all believe in your guy.”

Abdullah Mason vs Floyd Schofield would surely be a spicy build-up, and the fight itself should provide plenty of entertainment. Schofield (18-0, 12 KOs) was due to face Shakur Stevenson before he fell ill, and the British Boxing Board of Control ultimately pulled him from the fight. Accusations came from Team Schofield – that foul play had led to the 22-year-old falling ill. Stevenson ultimately stayed on the bill, stopping late replacement Josh Padley.
