When asked about the talent of Ennis, McIntyre made it clear he sees the talent: “Can he fight? Yeah, he can fight, Bomac told Andre Ward.” He continued: “Is he going to be at the pinnacle one day? I’m sure he will.”

McIntyre, despite praising the potential of the Philadelphia native, does not believe he is ready to face the new WBA super welterweight champion: “No, he’s not ready for Terence.” He added: “Hell no.”

Crawford Trainer Reveals Why Ennis Isn’t Ready

After revealing to Ward on his podcast that he feels Ennis isn’t ready for Crawford, McIntyre was then asked for specifics as to why he feels this way: Crawford’s trainer revealed he feels the Philly fighter “makes too many mistakes.” He continued: “He gets hit with too many stuff that he shouldn’t get hit with.”
