Joe Joyce Lined up to Face Surprising Opponent in Comeback Fight

The heavyweight division has been enjoying a renaissance since Turki Alalshikh of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority began making these fight cards, which saw the “Day of Reckoning” at the end of 2023. Oleksandr Usyk will face Tyson Fury on February 17, and Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou will happen on March 8. Away from these fights in Riadyh, Boxing News has revealed the return of heavyweight Joe Joyce (15-2, 14 KOs) is near.

Joyce will be eager to get back to winning ways after experiencing a tough 2023, which saw him lose twice to Zhilei Zhang. The second defeat was particularly brutal, with Zhang stopping the Englishman in round three. Despite these back-to-back defeats, the 38-year-old has decided to launch his comeback in 2024.

Kashi Ali

The 31-year-old Birmingham-born fighter has not boxed since he lost on points (55-59) in a six-round bout against Bohdan Myronets in Edinburgh. Some of you may remember Ali from his fight against David Price in 2019 when he was disqualified for biting his Liverpudlian opponent. Ali later received a six-month suspension by the British Boxing Board of Control.
