On Saturday, June 8, exciting super welterweight prospect Xander Zayas (18-0, 12 KOs) will take on experienced Brazilian Patrick Teixeira (34-4, 25 KOs) in a 10-round bout at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, New York. The 21-year-old Puerto Rican will be eager to make a statement in his biggest test thus far, which happens on the same day as the National Puerto Rican Day Parade in New York City. The entire card will be shown live on ESPN, with Sky Sports broadcasting the event in the UK & Ireland.

Teixeira will provide a stern test for Zayas and was last seen stopping Edisson Saltarin in the fourth round of their fight. The Puerto Rican fighter has made a big name for himself since his debut against Genesis Wynn in 2019. Most recently – the unbeaten 21-year-old has defeated  Roberto Valenzuela Jr and Jorge Fortea.

All eyes now turn to New York on June 8, where Zayas and Teixeira collide in this important super welterweight contest.
