Broner dropping bars instead of fighters
Former four division world champion Adrien Broner is going back to the studio and the polarizing fighter hinted that he has an rap album coming out.
Needless to say, I’m all in for this whether it goes “double platinum” or triple-plywood.

The reason for this is simple: Broner, who despite going 0-1-2 in his last 3 fights and was last seen on the opposite end of a lopsided loss to Manny Paciquao back in January 2019, is trying to get a big pay day again in the ring.
How much you ask? Just about 10 million dollars. And, I wish I was joking.
“I haven’t heard from Stephen Espinoza. Me and [my manager] Al [Haymon], we talk every day but ain’t nobody talking about that $10 million. So, I take that as I’m still retired. So what I’m going to do is just focus on my album, and I’m just a rapper. I’m a rapper now. Sh-t. Until they talk about my $10 million, I’m not going to be in the ring. So my album is dropping, and it is what it is,” Broner said.

While in these current times to say that all of this is absolutely absurd is me being nice. What isn’t absurd is that he has been in the lab before making music. If you check the archives for any of his tracks that you aren’t familiar with, he dropped this freestyle back on “Sway In the Morning” before his split decision victory over Paulie Malignaggi in 2013.
Is he Black Thought or (your favorite rapper name here)?
No.
Is he about on par with the rest of the rappers in this current state of hip hop? Like him or loathe him, Broner is.
As with all things Broner, we’ll see this album when it drops but he changed from being a fighter to retiring for at this point a time I lost count now, to hinting a being a comedian to being in trouble with the law back in March.
As the saying goes, “Broner gonna Broner”.
