Keyshawn Davis delivers bold three-word message to Devin Haney
On May 16, Keyshawn Davis vs Nahir Albright headlines a Top Rank fight card at The Scope in Norfolk, Virginia, live on DAZN. They will clash in a 12-round super lightweight showdown.
Ahead of Keyshawn Davis’ next fight, he spoke in a recent media huddle, sending a clear message to Devin Haney.
Keyshawn Davis headlines first Top Rank card on DAZN
After winning the WBO lightweight title against Denys Berinchyk, Davis endured an event to forget when he was involved in an alleged altercation backstage on the night of his firstdefence against Edwin De Los Santos last June, which was cancelled due to Davis being 4.3 pounds overweight.
“The Businessman” did return to action on the Teofimo Lopez vs Shakur Stevenson undercard earlier this year, dominating Jamaine Ortiz at super lightweight. It now appears Davis is prepared to go up to welterweight and challenge Haney.
Davis sends bold message to Haney
In a media huddle, Davis was clear about his thoughts on facing Devin Haney:
“I do want to fight Devin Haney, for sure. He has nothing coming up, that I know of. He’s been sitting for a little while now, ever since his big win against old boy (Brian Norman Jr), who’s fighting on my card now.
“Tell Devin Haney, stop being so scared, stop being scared. Fight me, bro. I want to fight you. Like, what we doing?”
Davis was also asked how he sees a potential fight with Haney ending up: “Y’all know how it ends up, bro. Him running around, I’m chasing him, and then me eventually knocking him out. Devin knows he can’t beat me. Devin’s father knows he can’t beat me. We all seen the video, when bro said: ‘Stand on my word.’ I’m standing on it, but where they, at though?
“Tell them pop out, come outside, stop hiding in the shadows. Come fight ‘The Businessman,’ the amazing Keyshawn Davis.”
