‘Y’all gonna see’: Keyshawn Davis delivers warning ahead of Nahir Albright fight

On May 16, Keyshawn Davis vs Nahir Albright headlines a Top Rank fight card at The Scope in Norfolk, Virginia, live on DAZN. They will clash in a 12-round super lightweight showdown.

Ahead of the main event dubbed “Unfinished Business,” Davis has delivered a bold promise to all his rivals when speaking on Inside Ring.

Keyshawn Davis vs Nahir Albright set for May 16 rematch

Davis (14-0, 10 KOs) turned professional after enjoying an impressive amateur career. Since turning professional, there was one undeniable high for Davis, blowing away Denys Berinchyk to win the WBO lightweight title.

Davis and Albright (17-2-1, 7 KOs) first met in 2023, with Davis winning by majority decision, with scores of 97-93, 96-94 and 95-95. The fight was later changed to a no-contest by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, resulting in Davis being suspended for 90 days because he tested positive for marijuana in a post-fight drug test. Marijuana is still a banned substance in most jurisdictions.

Davis and Albright were also involved in an alleged altercation backstage on the night Davis’ first defence against Edwin De Los Santos last June was cancelled due to Davis being 4.3 pounds overweight. This has added more intrigue to this rematch, alongside Albright beating Kelvin Davis by majority decision.

“The Businessman” did return to action on the Teofimo Lopez vs Shakur Stevenson undercard earlier this year, dominating and stopping Jamaine Ortiz at super lightweight.

Davis sends warning to Albright

Speaking on Inside Ring, Keyshawn Davis exuded confidence and delivered a warning to all his rivals, including Albright:

“My name is ‘The Businessman.’ I go in there, and I know I can stop basically everybody. If you’re not on my level, you’re getting stopped. I’m not trying to go in there and just win. I’m gonna stop you.

“I’m healthy this time, coming around. I’m not smoking cannabis the week of the fight. I’m not doing that in camp. I’m fully focused. You about to get a fully healthy Keyshawn. And y’all gonna see. I’m gonna go in there and stop him. I’m gonna dominate him, like nobody else.”
