Boxing Schedule: Three Fights You Can’t Miss in September

We have already seen several memorable fights in 2025, including Oleksandr Usyk’s rematch win over Daniel Dubois and Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn. More intriguing matchups are confirmed or rumoured for the rest of the year, and the boxing schedule looks promising. Here are three fights to look forward to in September.

Boxing Schedule: Three Fights to Look Forward to in September

Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford

On September 13, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) and Canelo (63-2-2, 39 KOs) will collide live on Netflix to over 300 million subscribers. These two pound-for-pound greats of the sport will meet for the undisputed super middleweight crown, with betting insights available through platforms such as SlotsSpot.
The fight night undercard was recently confirmed, with Callum Walsh vs Fernando Vargas Jr, Christian Mbilli vs Lester Martinez, and Mohammed Alakel vs John Ornelas all set to fight on this historic night for the sport.
Turki Alalshikh has previously made it clear what he wants from boxing: “We will not have them anymore,” Alalshikh said regarding ‘Tom and Jerry fights. “This is the first thing. The second (thing is), we will have in this fight (Canelo vs Crawford) and the next fight a bonus for (a) KO.”

Paddy Donovan vs Lewis Crocker

The next fight on our list is the rematch between Paddy Donovan (14-1, 11 KOs) and Lewis Crocker (21-0, 11 KOs). This fight will be for the IBF welterweight world title, recently vacated by Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis. Their first meeting ended in controversy when Donovan was disqualified for knocking Crocker out after the bell to end round eight, a finish that demanded a rematch.
A raucous atmosphere is expected at Windsor Park in Belfast on September 13, and this card promises to deliver a truly memorable night. This is one you won’t want to miss.

Naoya Inoue vs Murodjon Akhmadaliev

Naoya “Monster” Inoue (30-0, 27 KOs) will return to action on September 14, topping off a stacked weekend on the boxing schedule as the undisputed super bantamweight champion faces Murodjon Akhmadaliev (14-1, 11 KOs). This bout will take place at the IG Arena, Nagoya.
Inoue was last seen in action, taking on Ramon Cardenas, in what was a firefight early on, but the power of Inoue was the deciding factor as he stopped his American opponent by eighth-round TKO. Akhmadaliev is impressive when fighting on the inside and possesses excellent footwork, meaning he could cause the “Monster” some problems early in the fight.
The 2025 boxing schedule will go down in history thanks to memorable fights such as Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 3 and the historic Ring III card at Louis Armstrong Stadium. Critics will always find something to pick at when it comes to the schedule, but there are still great matchups to come before the year is done. These three fights in September are standouts and promise plenty of entertainment. Strap in and get ready for the ride.
