Adam Azim Fires Warning to Rivals: ‘I’ll Take Both of Them in One Night’

On October 19, at the Copper Box Arena London, Adam Azim (12-0, 9 KOs) produced a career-best performance, defeating Ohara Davies (25-4, 18 KOs) via eighth round KO. It was a performance full of poise, speed and spite, and made many think, just how far can Azim go? Speaking to Sky Sports, the Slough-born fighter has spoken on two domestic rivals and reflected on his destructive win over Davies.

Azim showed his obvious talent at the Copper Box, impressively dismantling Ohara Davies, dropping him twice on the way to a one-sided stoppage victory. Speaking to Sky Sports, it’s apparent that “The Assassin” is ready to step up to the next level. Azim was seemingly close to a fight against Harlem Eubank and has been long linked to Dalton Smith: “I’ll take both of them in one night,” Azim told Sky Sports. “It will just be a pure boxing masterclass. I’ll fight both of them and I know it ain’t going to go four rounds.”

He continued: Them two keep obviously buzzing off my name. I don’t really buzz from their names, but because they keep talking about me I’ve got to talk about them as well.”

Talking about what could be next, Azim said: “The Harlem Eubank fight’s still there. The Dalton Smith fight’s still there. There’s so many fights on the horizon, but it’s whether the timing is right. I could fight a former world champion as well, so these are the step-ups I need.”

Ohara Davies Fight

Analysing his performance against Davies, Azim said: “You guys have seen a lot of new stuff I did in the fight. Long-range, inside work, mid-range, countering from inside. It was all in the full package.”

He continued: “My tactics were really good the first three rounds, I knew I had the fight after that, but anything can happen in boxing. One punch can change anything, so I had to be really switched on.”
