Australia’s Liam Paro (25-0, 15 KOs) will make the first defence of his world title against American Richardson Hitchins (18-0, 7 KOs).

Their fight will headline a December 7 Matchroom Boxing card at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Boxing fans around the world will be able to catch the action live on DAZN. Both men will be having their second fights of the year.

Paro won the IBF super lightweight title with a unanimous decision win over Subriel Matías in June. The bout against Hitchins will be the first time he gets to defend that belt in addition to being his second time fighting in Puerto Rico. Hitchins, who beat Gustavo Lemos in April by unanimous decision in an IBF eliminator, will be taking part in his first ever world title contest.
