Intriguing All British Clash Looks Likely to Land on Anthony Joshua September 21 Card
The WBO has announced that a deal has been reached for Joshua Buatsi to face Willy Hutchinson for the WBO interim light-heavyweight title. The winner will stay on course for a shot at the light heavyweight world title. Dan Rafael has revealed on his X account when and where the fight will land: “The fight will be Sept 21 on the Anthony Joshua card at Wembley.”

A purse bid was called – but the governing body (WBO) have announced an agreement has been reached with the all-British fight set to take place in September, before the rescheduled undisputed clash between Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol on October 12.

This looks set to be an intriguing fight with a potentially huge fight awaiting the winner. Buatsi returns to the ring after his dramatic win against Dan Azeez. The Scottish fighter pulled off a career-best win in his last fight against Craig Richards, where he showed his excellent boxing ability and bravery during the difficult moments later in the fight. Both fighters will be coming into this bout in great spirits and considering the styles of both it looks set to be an explosive action-packed fight.

It seemed likely at one point – we could see Buatsi vs. Anthony Yarde, but an agreement could not be reached leading to the Croydon fighter accepting Hutchinson as his next fight.
