Statement Win for Ardreal Holmes Jr. On ‘Big Time Boxing USA’
Ardreal Holmes Jr. (15-0, 6 KOs) earned a statement win in the inaugural edition of “Big Time Boxing USA.”
The Flint native won his 10-round super welterweight clash against Marlon Harrington (10-2, 9 KOs) via second-round technical knockout on Tuesday night. Time of stoppage of 1:25. This was the first “Big Time Boxing USA” show on DAZN promoted by Salita Promotions. The card took place at the Wayne State Fieldhouse in Detroit, MI.

Ardreal Holmes Jr. Gains Impressive Win
The opening round saw both men struggle to land despite throwing aggressive flurries. For the most part, Harrington was the one pushing forward with Holmes being a bit more patient. However, It did not take long for things to change.
Early in the second round, Holmes dropped Harrington with a left hand. Despite getting up, it was clear the end was near. “Bossman” scored another knockdown with a right shortly after. Harrington got up once more, but a combination from his opponent sent him to the canvas for the third and final time.

In a bout that took place after the main event, Juan Martínez (3-3-2, 0 KOs) got an upset win over Cameran Pankey (9-1, 4 KOs). Scores for the six-round contest were 57-56 across the board. Martínez was late replacement who came in at around 133 lbs while Pankey weighed in around the featherweight limit. Pankey went to the canvas once in round three.

Ali Izmailov (12-0, 8 KOs) stopped Britton Norwood (13-5-1, 10 KOs) in round four of their 10-round light heavyweight bout. The time of stoppage was 1:28. Norwood went down in round two and four. He got up in the fourth, but the fight was stopped not long after by his corner.
Joseph Hicks (10-0, 7 KOs) got the stoppage win in round four against Ricardo Villalba (20-11-1, 8 KOs, 1 NC). Villalba went down for the first time in the third. Hicks knocked him down again in the fourth round which ended the fight. The time of stoppage for this six-round super welterweight clash was 42 seconds of round four.
Opening the card was a six-round middleweight contest between Da’Velle Smith (8-0, 6 KOs) and Rolando Mansilla (19-14-1, 9 KOs). Smith won the bout with scores of 60-54 (x2) and 59-55.
