Lamont Roach Jr. vs. William Zepeda fight recap
William Zepeda’s (34-1, 27 KOs) aggression was simply too much in a unanimous decision victory against Lamont Roach Jr. (25-2-3, 10 KOs).
Scores were 118-110 and 117-111 (x2). Zepeda is now the WBC lightweight world champion with the win. This is his first time winning a championship belt, having previously challenged and losing to Shakur Stevenson for the same title.
Zepeda began the fight aggressively. Roach was content with being on the back foot, rolling with the punches that came his way. Zepeda initially missed with many of the shots that he threw, but his high volume approach started to pay dividends in round three. Roach landed more accurate, eye-catching punches early on, but got tagged often as the fight progressed.

The American found pockets of success with his counters, but struggled with the volume coming his way. Zepeda had taken over by the middle rounds and targeted the head and body in equal measure. Many of his combinations consisted of four or more punches. Roach still landed hard counters from time to time, but was simply unable to stop his opponent from coming forward. Zepeda maintained his aggressive approach until the final bell. By then, it was clear that he was the victor.

Raymond Muratalla vs. Robson Conceição fight recap
Raymond Muratalla (25-0, 17 KOs) had little difficulty in securing the unanimous decision victory against Robson Conceição (21-4-1, 10 KOs, 1 NC).
Scores were 119-109 (x2) and 118-110. Muratalla remains the IBF lightweight world champion with the win, defending the belt for the second time. Previously an interim titleholder, he was promoted to full titlist after Vasyl Lomachenko’s retirement (the Ukrainian reversed his decision to retire after Muratalla’s promotion).
Muratalla gradually broke down his opponent over the course of the fight. Conceição was consistently pushed back and his punches had little effect on the reigning champion. Muratalla stalked the Brazilian around the ring, but was unable to cut off the ring. Despite this, he was still landing significantly more power punches.
Muratalla appeared to want the stoppage, but was unable to get it in the end. Conceição was constantly on the move and remained on his feet despite taking significant punishment. The challenger struggled to get any kind of control in this bout and it came as no surprise that he lost wide on the scorecards.
