Errol Spence Jr vs Tim Tszyu: Spence at launch press conference for July 25 fight

On July 25, at the Olympic Park, Qudos, New South Wales, in Sydney, Errol Spence Jr vs Tim Tszyu headlines a No Limit Boxing fight card, in association with The Rose Brothers, Man Down Promotions, and TGB Promotions. This intriguing card will be shown live on DAZN pay-per-view or as part of the DAZN Ultimate subscription.

Fans in the UK can also watch on Amazon Prime, while the event will be broadcast on PPV and Amazon Prime in the United States. Ahead of the 158-pound catchweight main event, Spence spoke to Dan Rafael and gave an honest assessment of his future in the sport.

Errol Spence Jr vs Tim Tszyu set for winner takes all showdown

Errol Spence Jr vs Tim Tszyu feels like a winner-stays-on-type fight. Both have endured huge setbacks in their career, with Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) not fighting since his 2023 loss to Terence Crawford. Before that loss and the two car crashes he was involved in, Spence was considered a pound-for-pound great by many. How much a fighter can have left after so long out of the ring remains to be seen.

Tszyu (27-3, 18 KOs) was considered by many to be one of the best super welterweight fighters, but defeats to Sebastian Fundora x2 and Bakhram Murtazaliev have severely derailed his progress. Since his win earlier this year against Denis Nurja, Tszyu made another change to his team, with Jeff Fenech taking over as his lead trainer.

Spence opens up on his future in boxing

When asked what he has left ahead of his comeback fight against Tszyu, Errol Spence Jr said: “I know I have a lot left, and the longest I can go in this sport is taking it one fight at a time. I can’t lie about that. I’m not gonna say I’m gonna be fighting seven or eight more fights or anything like that.

“I’m just taking it one fight at a time, being realistic, listening to my body. Right now, my body is feeling good. It might not feel good in three more months. We’ll definitely see, but just taking it fight by fight. I feel good right now, so we’re gonna take it to this fight, then after this fight, I’ll have to talk to my team, talk to my family. I already know what my family gonna say.”

Dan Rafael then asked Spence what his family would say: “You’ll never see me again,” said Spence.
