Cruz (28-3-2, 18 KOs) lost his WBA super lightweight title in 2024, losing to Jose Valenzuela. Following that setback, the Mexican won his next two fights before fighting to a majority draw against Lamont Roach Jr.

Nestor Bravo recent form

Bravo (24-1, 17 KOs) suffered his first career defeat last year, dropping a split decision to Xolisani Ndongeni. The Puerto Rican returned to action earlier this year, stopping Pedro Campa in the second round.

Isaac Cruz vs Nestor Bravo prediction

Cruz has undoubtedly mixed at a higher level than Bravo, sharing the ring with fighters such as Gervonta Davis and Roach Jr. He’s a former world champion who brings the pressure whenever he fights. Cruz doesn’t give his opponent a second off. He’s adept at cutting off the ring and closing the distance before firing off his own work. He’s tough and carries plenty of power. Bravo will need a career-best performance.

Bravo enjoyed an impressive amateur career before turning professional in 2015. His best wins have come against Campa and Adrian Yung. Bravo is also an aggressive fighter who carries his own fight-ending power. 

This should be a firefight, and we are backing the experience of Cruz to be the deciding factor. The Mexican will win a competitive unanimous decision.
