Errol Spence Jr vs Tim Tszyu launch press conference for July 25 fight

2026 has provided some memorable moments so far, including the heavyweight war between Daniel Dubois and Fabio Wardley and the wildly entertaining unification showdown between Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis and Xander Zayas. Here are three fights you can’t miss in the July boxing schedule.

July boxing schedule: 3 fights to look forward to

The three fights we have listed are, in our opinion, the best ones on offer on the July boxing schedule. Anthony Joshua’s return against Kristian Prenga, and Diego Pacheco vs Immanuwel Aleem will be two other fights we watch closely.

Abdullah Mason vs Albert Bell

At the Cleveland State University’s Wolstein Center on July 4, Abdullah Mason was due to defend his WBO lightweight title against Joe Cordina before the Welshman had to withdraw due to visa issues. The replacement was quickly confirmed to be Albert Bell.

This world title clash will see Mason (20-0, 17 KOs) defend his WBO title for the first time since he won the vacant title against Sam Noakes.

Bell (28-0, 9 KOs) has been waiting for an opportunity like this for some time, with his best wins coming against lower-quality opposition.

Mason will look to use his lightning-quick hand speed, accuracy, and fight-ending power, while Bell will look to keep the fight long and frustrate the champion. This is a great fight to kick off the July boxing schedule.

Riku Masuda vs Daigo Higa

On July 20 at Kokugikan, Tokyo, Riku Masuda and Daigo Higa will clash for the WBA “regular” bantamweight title. It’s unclear whether a broadcaster outside of Japan will pick up the fight.

This could well be the fight of the month, with Masuda (10-1, 9 KOs) winning seven fights consecutively since his only professional defeat to Seiya Tsutsumi. Last time out, Masuda stopped Nonito Donaire.

Higa (21-3-3, 19 KOs) is very rarely in a dull fight. His draws against Seiya Tsutsumi and Antonio Vargas show he can mix at the highest level, and he will meet Masuda in the middle of the ring.

Masuda times his punches impressively and will look to punish any time Higa falls short. He’s also a strong body puncher and will look to stop Higa from settling. Higa is a relentless fighter who will target Masuda’s body, and he himself punches with venom. This could be the best fight on the July boxing schedule.

Tim Tszyu vs Errol Spence Jr

The last fight on our July boxing schedule is Tim Tszyu vs Errol Spence Jr at a 158-pound catchweight. They will meet at the Afterpay Arena, Sydney, New South Wales. The card will stream live as a PBC pay-per-view event on Prime Video.

This showdown really feels like a winner-stays-on type of fight. Tszyu (27-3, 18 KOs) has suffered defeats in recent years against Sebastian Fundora x2 and Bakhram Murtazaliev. Despite Spence’s absence from the ring, if Tszyu can win, this will be the best win of his career.

Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) hasn’t fought since 2023, when he was brutally beaten and stopped by Terence Crawford. Before that, Spence was considered elite, with impressive wins against Kell Brook, Shawn Porter, and Danny Garcia.

Tszyu will look to come forward and pressure Spence and make him feel his power early on and apply plenty of pressure. At his best, Spence would control fights with his jab, while picking his punches impressively from there. Spence will look to get in close and work the body of Tszyu. It remains to be seen how much is left in either fighter, but July 25 will tell us everything we need to know.
