Otto Wallin Dismisses Anthony Joshua

Speaking about the upcoming fight with Joshua, the Swedish heavyweight was full of gratitude: “I’m really excited about this opportunity.” Dan asked Wallin how the fight was agreed, and the Swede explained: “Early November, we heard about this fight. We made a deal in two days.”

Responding to an observation from Dan that he was surprised Joshua took the fight, with the Swedish fighter being a southpaw and AJ having difficulties facing that stance in the past. “I was surprised, said Wallin.” He went on to explain he thinks AJ’s team are looking at their ranking for the IBF title.

Wallin’s confidence came through shining in this interview when asked about everyone expecting Wilder and Joshua to face each other: “I think that would be so sweet (messing up the Wilder vs. Joshua plans).

Speaking on Deontay Wilder vs. Joseph Parker, Wallin expressed concern about the inactivity of Wilder: “I think he has one round in two years.” Before saying, Parker needs to “take it to Wilder.

The Swedish heavyweight dismissed the possible impact of Ben Davison on his opponent in such a short amount of time. Despite admitting AJ is still one of the best, “All In” said he felt Joshua was “on a decline.” With the authority of a fighter who believes he will win, the Sundsvall-born fighter said: “I think he’s on his way out, and I’m going to help him with that.”
