Three Potential Boxing-MMA Cross Promotion Fights in 2025
MMA and Boxing continue to thrive and when the two codes have crossed over it has been memorable with Francis Ngannou vs. Tyson Fury and Jake Paul and his various bouts against ageing MMA stars. Looking ahead to 2025, Big Fight Weekend looks at three potential MMA Boxing crossover fights, with fans exploring options on a UFC betting site in Australia.
Three Exciting MMA Boxing Crossover Fights in 2025
MMA Boxing Crossover Fights: Conor McGregor vs. Jake Paul
According to a post on X by ESPN reporter Salvador Rodriguez, Jake Paul vs. Conor McGregor is on the table for July, August or September 2025 in India. Both have had plenty to say on social media over several months and a fight between the two would present a box office build-up and attract a huge audience for the fight, making it a gigantic crossover fight.
Sean O’Malley vs. Ryan Garcia
Sean O’Malley has spoken on various occasions about competing in professional boxing with a rumoured bout against Ryan Garcia. “Kingry” has seemingly welcomed the bout previously posting on X: “RAINBOW CACA BRAIN WANTS TO BOX BE PREPARED TO BLEED RAINBOW.”
Both are outspoken and this fight would provide plenty of intrigue with both confident in their ability. O’Malley has expressed interest in boxing, previously saying on his “YouTube show:” “They told me you can do a boxing fight, 100 percent, if it makes us enough money. So the option’s there, it just has to be able to make enough money.”
Grab your popcorn if this one gets made.
Dillian Whyte vs. Francis Ngannou
Dillian Whyte or Derek Chisora vs. Francis Ngannou would be an all-out war. Ngannou came up short against Anthony Joshua but has refused to rule out a return to boxing and a fight against Chisora or Whyte will be great entertainment.
It would present the Cameroonian PFL fighter a chance to gain a much-desired win in boxing. Chisora would also have the chance to bow out with a huge crossover fight in his 50th and final fight. Whyte is eager to return to the heavyweight top table and a win over Ngannou would be much needed. “The Body Snatcher” or “Del Boy” vs. Ngannou would be a fascinating fight.
