‘Devastating Power In Both Hands’- Floyd Schofield Destined for Top

Kid Austin Destined for the Top
Schofield went into his fight with Rhodes with eleven wins via knockout from his 14 career wins. His performance against the Oklahoma-born fighter was impressive for several reasons. Kid Austin fought diligently throughout and never looked rushed in his work. He kept his head and even with a nasty cut below his eye, he saw the fight out comfortably advancing to 15-0. The Texan resident boxed smartly behind a jab, keeping Rhodes at a suitable distance where Schofield could land his eye-catching combinations.

Schofield used his lateral movement throughout punching from angles, that Haskell never saw coming. Kid Austin‘s lighting hand speed troubled his opponent throughout who couldn’t counter punch due to Schofield’s speed. His work in the first half of the fight was patient and well thought out, as he landed beautiful combinations which troubled his opponent greatly. He showed his level headiness as Haskell tried to rough him up a few times, but Kid Austin stayed focused on the game plan and boxed intelligently throughout, before knocking down the Las Vegas-born fighter three times in the later rounds.
Throughout his career thus far Schofield has exhibited spite in his punches, which means he doesn’t throw a punch unless he means it. His ability to fight on the front foot or back foot makes him a nightmare to face. He’s constantly moving, scanning for opportunities to attack, which has worked wonders for his career.
What’s Next for Floyd Schofield?
Oscar De La Hoya promotes Kid Austin and seemingly has high hopes for his young protege, as he has previously described the Austin resident as having “Devastating Power in Both Hands.” De La Hoya went on to praise Kid Austin further. “He’s throwing the right combinations, his footwork is incredible.”
When you watch Schofield fight, he a joy to watch. His lightening fast hand speed, spiteful combinations and incredible footwork make him a frightening prospect. A further step up in quality is surely guaranteed for Kid Austin’s next outing. Francesco Patera from Belgium could be a potential fight for Schofield, but he will have to wait for Patera as he is due to face Keyshawn Davis, who could also be potential opposition for Kid Austin. Other potential opponents for Schofield could be Michel Rivera or Jeremia Nakathila.
One thing is for certain we have not heard the last of Floyd Schofield, and he has all the attributes to suggest he is destined for the top.
