Breaking Down the Undercard for David Benavidez vs. David Morrell

David Benavidez vs. David Morrell Undercard: Brandon Figueroa vs. Stephen Fulton Jr.

Brandon Figueroa (25-1-1, 19 KOs) and Stephen Fulton Jr. (22-1, 8 KOs) will meet for the WBC featherweight title. This will be a rematch for their bantamweight clash in 2021, which Fulton won by a majority decision. Figueroa’s come-forward style against Fulton’s slick backfoot fighting makes this an intriguing bout.

Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz vs. Angel Fierro

Isaac Cruz (26-3-1, 18 KOs) will return to the ring against Angel Fierro (23-2-2, 18 KOs). “Pitbull” will be eager to bounce back after losing to Jose Valenzuela. The aggressive style of Cruz should prove too much for the Tijuana native.

Jesus Ramos Jr. vs. Jeison Rosario

Jesus Alejandro Ramos Jr. (21-1, 17 KOs) will face Jeison Rosario (24-4-2, 18 KOs) in an intriguing contest. Both will need to win to move on to bigger and better opportunities. Ramos has only one defeat against Erickson Lubin, while ex-IBF IBO and IBF super welterweight champion Roasrio will need a win to avoid falling further down the pecking order.

Mirco Cuello vs. Christian Olivo Barreda

Featherweight prospect Mirco Cuello (14-0, 11 KOs) will face Christian Olivo Barreda (22-1-1, 9 KOs) in a featherweight contest, where Cuello will be aiming for a win to make himself a live contender in the division. The winner of this fight will become the mandatory challenger to Nick Ball.

Yoenli Hernandez vs. Angel Ruiz Astorga

Exciting Cuban Yoenli Hernandez (6-0, 6 KOs) will be looking to show the boxing world what he can do on Feb. 1 when he faces Angel Ruiz Astorga (18-3-1, 13 KOs). His precision and power stand out, and he will be eager to put on a show in Las Vegas and move on to bigger opportunities.

Jose Benavidez Jr. vs. Danny Rosenberger

Jose Benavidez Jr. (28-3-1, 19 KOs) will return after a year out of the ring to face Danny Rosenberger (20-9-4, 10 KOs). Benavidez was outpointed by Jermall Charlo and will be eager to show he can mix at a high level. His opponent has been unbeaten since 2020 but hasn’t mixed near the level of “El Phoenix.”

Daniel Blancas vs. Juan Barajas Jr.

Two unbeaten super middleweight fighters will collide, as Daniel Blancas (11-0, 5 KOs) meets Juan Barajas (11-0-2, 7 KOs). Blancas will be the favourite, but Barajas cannot be discounted.

Kaipo Gallegos vs. Leonardo Padilla

Kaipo Gallegos (7-0-1, 6 KOs) is fast making a name for himself, winning six in a row, five by stoppage. He will face Leonardo Padilla (24-6-1, 17 KOs). Gallegos is highly thought of and has sparred Shakur Stevenson, Devin Haney and Keyshawn Davis, and seems to be progressing at a good rate, and at only 18 looks set for a bright future in the super featherweight division.

Curmel Moton vs. Frank Zaldivar

Curmel Moton (6-0, 5 KOs) is undoubtedly a prodigious talent, who has shown his ability in his first few professional fights. He enjoyed an impressive amateur career and is tipped to make more than a splash in the world of professional boxing. The Mayweather promotions prodigy will be eager for an active 2025, and it will start on February 1 against Frank Zaldivar (5-1, 3 KOs).

John Easter vs. Joseph Aguilar

Unbeaten super middleweight prospect John “Candyman” Easter (7-0, 7 KOs) will be eager to extend his perfect professional record when he faces Joseph Aguilar (6-2-1, 3 KOs). Easter is well thought of and has shown explosive power in his career thus far. He also times his punches well and will look to put on another KO show.

Gabriela Tellez vs. Abril Anguiano

18-year-old Gabriela Tellez (3-0, 1 KO) and Abril Anguiano (4-0, 2 KOs) will collide in a battle of unbeaten prospects in the featherweight division. Tellez is a front-foot fighter who looks to work off her jab and pressure her opponents. This will be a fascinating battle of the undefeated.
