Tank Davis-Ryan Garcia Looming Plus Regis Prograis Conversation

We’ve got a lighter weekend fight schedule with Jaime Munguia being the most prominent fighter in action in  a non-title main event in Mexico. But, there’s also plenty of news outside of the ring to go over, including unbeaten stars Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Ryan Garcia agreeing to meet, though not official, in the first half of 2022.

Hear Dan Rafael and me going over it all on the latest edition of the “Big Fight Weekend Preview” Podcast that’s out this weekend.

Dan has the summary of what you’ll hear:

Here is what’s on the show (in order):

Some good news to begin the show — the improvement of brain-injured Aidos Yerbossynuly, who, according to sources, has been weaned from a medically induced coma, and moved out of intensive care and into a regular hospital room.

Lengthy discussion on everything we know about the deal made for the long-awaited fight between Davis and Garcia to fight on April 15, but if only it was that easy. We touched on numerous aspects of the deal and the things that need to happen before the Showtime PPV is a reality.

My interview with Regis Prograis, who is set to face Jose Zepeda for the vacant WBC junior welterweight title on Nov. 26 in the main event of a pay-per-view card. We discussed his struggle to get another opportunity since losing his world title by close decision to Josh Taylor three years ago, the surprising purse bid results for the fight and a lot more.
