‘Canelo, Stop Ducking. I Know You Want It’: What’s Next for Jake Paul?
‘Canelo, Stop Ducking. I Know You Want It’: What’s Next for Jake Paul?
On Saturday, March 2, Jake Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) recorded a dominant first-round stoppage vs. Ryan Bourland. BFW predicted a KO win for “The Problem Child,” but it came quicker than we thought. Paul ended up as the sole headline fight at Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot in Suan Juan, Puerto Rico after an eye injury to Amanda Serrano caused the cancellation of the co-main event. After his win, Paul said: “Canelo, stop ducking. I know you want it. I’m repping Puerto Rico, you’re repping Mexico, so it’s Puerto Rico vs Mexico.” Attention now turns to Jake Paul‘s next fight.

Jake Paul Next Fight: Recap of Paul vs. Ryan Bourland
Paul was dominant from the first few seconds as he began firing off his jab with increased regularity to the head and body of his opponent. He wasn’t rushing his work and seemed to be throwing with more intent than in his previous fights. He quickly rocked his opponent and pounced, throwing a flurry of heavy shots, which sent Bourland crashing to the canvas – leading the referee to wave the contest off.
Tommy Fury
The only defeat on Paul’s record was the split-decision loss to Tommy Fury on February 26, 2023. “The Problem Child” has now won his three fights since that sole defeat. He has seemingly left facing celebrity boxers behind, beating professional boxers back to back, with wins over Bourland and the emphatic stoppage over Andre August.

The increased use of the jab and shot selection in his last two fights suggests that Paul has made adjustments to improve as a professional, making a rematch something that the Ohio native wants.
KSI
KSI and Paul have been at loggerheads for years despite the Sidemen superstar now having a friendship and business partnership with Logan Paul. Both have the power to end any potential contest – but the more polished boxing fundamentals are present in “The Problem Child,” meaning it’s likely KSI will continue to face celebrity boxers. If the two ever meet, it would undoubtedly produce big PPV numbers.
Mike Perry
Mike Perry, the ex-UFC fighter, has amassed a 4-0 bare-knuckle record and served as the backup fighter for previous Jake and Logan bouts. Perry holds notable wins in bare knuckle over Luke Rockhold and Michael Page. There’s no doubt Paul is showing his dedication to the sport, and his boxing fundamentals are improving, but Perry is athletic, aggressive and active and would provide a threat to “The Problem Child” should they meet.
