On Friday, June 21, at the Bolton White Hotel in Bolton, United Kingdom, Lyndon Arthur (24-2, 16 KOs) returned to winning ways, defeating Liam Cameron (23-6, 10 KOs) by a split decision with the judges scorecards reading 95-93 for Cameron and 95-93 and 97-91 for Arthur who won the vacant WBA inter-continental light heavyweight title. The entire card was shown live on Channel 5 in the UK, with the card promoted by Wasserman Boxing.

It was a cagey start to the opening round, with both fighters exchanging jabs. Cameron was the aggressor, but a right hand from Arthur jolted his opponent’s head back. The second round saw Cameron start fast with some good combinations, with Arthur getting on top as the round progressed. A shot after the bell from Arthur led to him being deducted a point.
The following two rounds saw Arthur look impressive when he put combinations together off his jab. The Sheffield fighter continued to come forward and put his shots together well, remaining in the fight through his high workrate.

The jab from Arthur is the talking point of round five, as he put together some nice combinations in this round, backing up Cameron, whose bravery and accuracy helped ensure success during the round. The sixth round saw the more eye-catching work from Arthur, with Cameron losing a point for a rabbit punch. The Sheffield man came back into the round, but Arthur started strongly.
The next two rounds continued in much the same way with both fighters having success. The penultimate round saw Arthur have pockets of success during the round, mixing his punches well. The final round began with both looking to set the tone. Cameron again puts his shots together well, but the cleaner work came from the Manchester fighter, with Arthur ending the round on the front foot.

Matty Harris (7-1, 5 KOs) defeated Yury Bykhautsou (10-31-3, 5 KOs), producing an impressive second-round stoppage in their heavyweight fight.
Clark Smith (6-0, 1 KO) produced a dominant performance as he beat Jensen Irving (4-12-1, 0 KO) in their middleweight clash, with the referee scoring the bout 60-54.
