“Well, he’s undefeated, ain’t he,” Davies said about why he wanted to fight Masoud. “He’s a good fighter and there’s a lot of talk that he’s the next best. So, I’m always up for the challenge and I want tough fights. You get one go at this boxing. So, I want to prove I am the best. Saturday night I’ll do that.”

“I’ve always performed better when I’m the underdog and one of the reasons I started boxing was something to prove [sic]this is another thing for me. I got to prove everyone wrong.”
Fight Prediction
Between the two, Davies has had more success in getting knockouts and has won his last three fights via stoppage. Despite that, expect this bout to go the distance as both boxers are quality operators who are unlikely to get knocked out very easily. Compared to Masoud, Davies has fought at a higher level. While both men are two of the best British super bantamweights at the moment, expect Davies to win this fight via unanimous decision.
