On August 24 at the Arena Ciudad de México, Floyd Mayweather will take on John Gotti III in their rematch live on DAZN. On the undercard, the undefeated heavy-handed middleweight John “The Candyman” Easter (6-0, 6 KOs) who is signed to Mayweather’s TMT Promotions, is set to return to the ring to face Luis Morales Duran (5-1, 5 KOs). The 22-year-old Charlestown native and his coach Bob Santos have spoken ahead of the Duran fight.

Easter Reveals Gratitude for Opportunity

The 22-year-old Charleston native has knocked out every opponent, with four in the first round. This will undoubtedly be the biggest stage he’s fought on, and his first fight this year after joining renowned coach Bob Santos.

When speaking about the upcoming fight on the Mayweather vs. Gotti III undercard, Easter said: “I’m thrilled to be back in the ring, especially on a card of this magnitude,” said Easter. “Fighting in Mexico has always been a special experience for me, as I made my pro debut there, and I’m ready to put on a show for the fans. The Candyman is back!”

As we edge closer to this huge opportunity, Easter also paid tribute to Mayweather promotions for the chance to appear on the card: “I’m extremely thankful to Floyd and TMT Promotions for this chance. Fighting on a card like this is a dream come true, and I’m going to make the most of it.”
